Memorial Donations & Planned Giving
Remember loved ones by giving a gift to the Humane Society of Monroe County in honor of that individual. Memorial donations help contribute to the care of the animals. We will send a letter directly to the family the memorial was given to and another to the donor. We take pride in honoring those who care for and love animals as much as we do.
Please use the following link to print out a memorial donation form to include with your payment. Forms can be faxed to (734) 240-0560, emailed to , or sent in the mail to: HSMC, P.O. Box 1457, Monroe, MI 48161. You may also drop off your form and payment to our shelter at 833 N. Telegraph, 48162, or the HSMC store at 15649 S. Telegraph Rd., 48161. Thank you for thinking of the animals at the HSMC shelter.

A charitable remainder trust may be the solution for someone who wants to donate property during their lifetime and receive an immediate income tax deduction, while reserving an income from the property for themselves, their spouse, or even for other family members. A charitable remainder trust can be advantageous for donors with highly-appreciated assets, such as growth stock and mutual funds, that need to be sold and converted to income-producing assets.
